For one day, Hyde Park will take on the rhythm of a zawiya or sufi lodge — a space of prayer, spiritual learning, remembrance, and companionship.

Join Shaykh Mohamed Faouzi al-Karkari of Morocco for a day-long gathering. The program will include teachings on the spiritual path (such as seeking, repentance, retreat or khulwa, and companionship), communal remembrance, shared meals, devotional recitations, and open conversation.
Open to all, regardless of familiarity with Islam or Sufism. English translation will be provided throughout.
